A few years ago I developed an unusual problem. Every time I started working on a computer, it would crash and I would have trouble restarting it. Then one day my watch stopped working. I replaced the battery and within a day, the hands once again became frozen in time. Julie Strier, a writer on the TechQuility blog, believes that experiences like mine occur when our electromagnetic fields (EMFs) interfere with the EMFs of electronics: "modern day electronics all contain quartz crystals . . . . The computer is electrifying and vibrating the quartz using a magnetic field, so if your personal energy field is strong enough, it could affect and even change the frequency at which the crystal is vibrating." Wifi, Microwaves, and the smart phone that I can't seem to live without translate into an environment that is full of EMFs and their constant radiation. Considering how human and electronic EMFs can interact, the constant electromagnetic radiation we are exposed to is concerning.
Unfortunately, no one yet knows whether or not EMFs are harmful to humans, and studies are hampered by the fact that the amount of radiation emitted by our devices is unknown. With cancer on the rise, many people worry and suspect that EMFs may be a contributing cause. Even notable organizations such as the International Agency for Research on Cancer(IARC), a component of the World Health Organization (WHO), are unwilling to rule out their negative effects. In a recent statement, the IARC conceded that EMFs are "possibly carcinogenic to humans." Because there is potential for even small carcinogenic effects, it makes sense to be proactive and take preventative measures to help ensure that any hazardous effects are limited until more information is known.
One of the most promising means of protection from EMF radiation is the Shungite Crystal. Only found in the Karelia region of Russia, near a small settlement called Shunga, the Shungite crystal was recently shown to be the only natural material containing fullerenes (also known as buckyballs), a molecular carbon formation that is hollow and high in antioxidants. Since their discovery, fullerenes have excited the medical and scientific communities as they have shown great promise when used in medical treatments for immunity. According to Judy Hall, a crystal practitioner in the UK, Shungite's fullerenes can also neutralize many different types of electromagnetic fields by absorbing substantive and energetic pollutants and storing them in their hollow carbon structures. Indeed, Crystal Rock Star reports that the Russian army has reportedly used Shungite for many years to counteract exposure to radiation. Shungite's protective qualities along with its reputed ability to purify water, make this crystal a worthwhile stone to consider for preventative utilization.
For maximum EMF protective benefits there are several ways to use Shungite in day-to-day life. One can wear jewelry made from Shungite, particularly bracelets and rings as the hands are the most likely body part to make frequent and direct contact with electronic devices; bracelets and rings can help block incoming radiation before it interferes with the body's EMF. It's also a good idea to use Shungite to grid wifi routers, cell phone chargers, television sets or any other electronic devices. When possible, place a Shungite pyramid directly on top of the device, and encircle it with geometric patterns using additional Shungite pieces.
Shungite can also be used to filter and purify water of any impurities. First, wash Shungite chips in a mixture of baking soda and water. This process will cleanse the chips, making them safe for use as a water enhancement. Next, place the cleansed Shungite chips in an open container, cover with water, and allow everything to sit for at least 24 hours. When sufficient time has passed, pour the water into another drinking container, and directly imbibe in Shungite's protective benefits. As long as they are properly cleaned and charged every so often, Shungite chips can be used repeatedly.
There are additional ways you can help to protect yourself and your loved ones from EMF radiation. The Environmental Working Group recommends using the following safety tips for cell phones: call when the signal is strong; Use a headset or speaker or buy a protective case like the ones made by Pong; text; don't store phone in pocket or under pillow; and when you do use the phone, hold it a few inches from your ear. We also recommend advocating for cell phone radiation records to be made public so that the amount of EMF radiation is better understand and known. Write to the FCC and tell them that cell phone radiation information should be available to the public!
For better or worse, electronics are here to stay, and although the effects of EMFs on health are yet unknown, it makes sense to consider measures for preventative damage. In all my research into crystals, I have yet to come across a stone that shows as much promise for prevention as Shungite. Indeed, I found the research so compelling that many of the electronics in my household are now gridded with Shungite pieces. I encourage you to take a closer look at this crystal and to give it a try. A little prevention can do great good.
